The other side of Suraj Kund
Driving down the other side of Suraj Kund, we discovered an old temple of Hindu Lord Shiva. Legend shared by the holy men who maintain this temple is that a Sadhu worshipped Lord Shiva centuries ago and got a natural spring in the rocky Aravalli hills for his cows as a boon from Shiva. The spring still exists despite Suraj Kund, Badhkal lake and other water bodies in the area have long dried.
